Course Description

Essentials of Human Resources provides an intensive introduction to the Human Resources Profession. Participants shall receive both printed book material and online tool access and resources to assist in learning six key topics. Learning modules cover: Human Resource Management; Employment Law; Recruitment & Selection; Compensation & Benefits; Employee Development; and Performance Management. Who should take this course? The Primary target includes: Managers & Supervisors with HR responsibilities; Professionals who perform HR tasks as part of their daily role; Entry-level HR professionals looking to explore further in the HR field; Corporations requiring updated training; etc. Current titles might include: Office Manager, Small Business Owner, Trainer, HR Specialist/Generalist, Manager, Staffing/Recruiting Specialist; Executive Assistant. Interested in Certification or Currently Certified? This course is not the SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Certification Course. We will offer the Preparation Course again in February 2018 for the Spring/Summer 2018 Testing Window. However, this course will be a strong preparation for those beginning to show interest in certification. For those currently certified, this course is Approved for Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credentials and recertification credit hours for HRCI credentials (PHR/SPHR).
